• Terlipressin should be diluted in 5% glucose in a 50 mL syringe when administered via continuous IV infusion as 5% glucose appears to be more effective in maintaining optimal pH (3-4) than saline 0.9%, which is required for maintaining terlipressin drug activity.

Storage :

• Store Terlipressin vial in the carton under refrigerated conditions at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). Store in the original carton to protect from light prior to reconstitution.

• 2mg initially followed by 1-2 mg every 4-6 hours until bleeding is controlled up to 72 hours.
